He hasn't been the most productive player for the majority of the season, but now Marquise Goodwin is becoming an interesting fantasy option after an impressive performance in Week 11.
The Buffalo Bills came away with a dominating 37-14 win over the New York Jets, making a number of big plays throughout. Goodwin finished the game with six receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown while adding another 17 yards on the ground. In ESPN's standard-scoring leagues, that was good enough for 15 fantasy points.
Goodwin now has just 16 receptions for 261 yards and three touchdowns on the year, but he's starting to get more involved in the offense and has elite speed. After recording just 51 yards and a touchdown through the first three games, he's had at least 50 receiving yards and three of his last four, taking advantage of increased snaps with injuries at wideout.
Getting EJ Manuel back is even better news for Goodwin, as the starting signal-caller will give the entire offense a major lift, and the two rookies will likely be connecting more frequently as the season winds down.
Looking ahead, the Bills will be playing some weaker pass defenses in the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars. As a downfield threat, Goodwin's speed will give him the opportunity to burn these secondaries and continue to make big plays.
However, Goodwin's value will likely diminish once Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods are healthy. The two weren't able to play this week against the Jets, and that gave Goodwin the opportunity to make more plays. The Bills have a bye in Week 12, so that should give them some extra time to get healthy for Week 13.
Still, if you liked what you saw against the Jets, Goodwin is certainly worth consideration as an add, especially in deeper leagues, due to his explosiveness. Consider him a WR4.
