Matt Schaub's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Replacing Case Keenum

For now, it appears that the Case Keenum era is over in Houston.

Just three weeks after the former University of Houston star replaced two-time Pro Bowler Matt Schaub as the Texans' starting quarterback, Keenum has made his way to the bench once again. The Houston Chronicle's John McClain reported the news:

Schaub finished the day with 155 yards passing with no touchdowns or interceptions in Houston's loss to the Raiders.

Now, even with Schaub reinstalled as Houston's signal-caller at least for the time being, one shouldn't expect the former fantasy dynamo to resume putting up the type of numbers he did earlier in his career.

While the 32-year-old still has Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins in his offense, Schaub's turnover numbers (nine interceptions in six starts) have been atrocious this year, and at 2-7, Houston doesn't appear to be playing for much this season.

In addition, Schaub's confidence has declined steadily this season amidst the boos and criticism he has received. And despite having three seasons of at least 4,000 yards passing under his belt, as well as quality targets at his disposal, he hasn't been able to get the job done.

Obviously the Texans felt the same as they named Case Keenum the starter for next week's matchup vs. Jacksonville (via the Texans Twitter Feed):

At this point, Schaub's value goes back to zero if you're an owner of Keenum in any league.
