Alabama 20, Mississippi State 7 – Final
Top-ranked Alabama endured a sloppy performance, but still managed to make enough plays to put away Mississippi State in a 20-7 win.
The Tide turned the ball over four times, including two picks from AJ McCarron. However, the defense and special teams put the clamps on the Bulldogs and held them to just one scoring drive.
Mississippi State quarterback Tyler Russell was knocked out of the game in the fourth quarter, and the Bulldogs were unable to capitalize on several opportunities to make the defending champs sweat.
Alabama improves to 10-0 and will face Chattanooga next weekend. Mississippi State drops to 4-6 and will travel to Arkansas.
