Craig Turnbull of Goal.com reports that the former Chelsea boss is so confident the Bernabeu star will see off the challenge of Lionel Messi to win the award that he told Italian broadcaster Radio 24 he will stage a sit-in in his hometown of Reggiolo, Italy, if he doesn't.
Ronaldo and Messi are considered to be among the leading candidates for the award, which will be presented in January.
But Ancelotti insists nobody deserves the award this year more than Ronaldo:
If they don't give it to Cristiano I’ll stage a sit-in in Reggiolo. No one deserves the prize more than him. He is a model professional.
If he (Ronaldo) didn’t look after every detail, his physique too, he wouldn’t be able to achieve the things he does.
