I'm sure if you'd told New York Knicks fans that Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani would combine for 69 points and 14 rebounds against the Houston Rockets, they'd be pretty confident in the team getting the win.
Well, Anthony and Bargnani did just that, but the Knicks still came up short, losing to the Rockets by a final score of 109-106.
Melo finished with 45, Bargnani had 24 and J.R. Smith added 15, but New York's perimeter defense was picked apart Thursday night.
James Harden took over for the Rockets in the fourth quarter, scoring 36 points on 9-of-17 shooting overall.
Jeremy Lin also got to double-figures in his return to Madison Square Garden, scoring 21 points on 7-of-16 shooting. Chandler Parsons added 22.
