Harvin is expected to make his season debut this week against his former team, the Minnesota Vikings. Whether this was planned or not, he will still have to be eased in to the offense as a flare-up in his hip just two weeks ago, supposedly pushed his timetable back to now.
Obviously Harvin will have the added motivation, but it doesn't hurt that the Vikings pass defense ranks 26th in the league, allows an average of 286 passing yards per game and has given up 21 touchdowns through the air this season. Despite all of that, he still remains a risky play as he could still be limited in some capacity this week.
