Adidas Releasing Derrick Rose 'Chicago Nightfall' Colorway of D Rose 4 Sneakers
November 12, 2013
The latest edition of Derrick Rose' signature shoe line is set for release on Dec. 5 (with presale availability beginning Nov. 21), but thanks to Slam Magazine, we've got a handful of preview images to dissect until the $140 kicks hit the market.

This version of the D Rose 4 is called "Chicago Nightfall," and the color scheme represents the Windy City after—you guessed it—nightfall.
As you can see, purple, various shades of blue and a neon yellow are the main colors involved.

Per Adidas Basketball (via Slam), the purple is supposed to symbolize the evening sky, the blue conjures images of Lake Michigan and the yellow is supposed to evoke thoughts of city lights.
On the interior liner, there's a multi-toned representation of an illuminated Chicago skyline.

All of the same features of the original D Rose 4 are still here, including the three-petal logo on the rear outside of the shoe and stark contrast between the heel and forefoot.

The laces also transition from deep blue to an almost aqua color as they run up the front of the shoe.

Certainly a bold look, these bad boys will be a great buy for anyone who wants to pay tribute to Rose's hometown. And for a select few consumers, they'll really help complement that Charlotte Hornets Starter jacket you've had stashed in the closet since 1991.
