Ervin Santana is some kind of mad genius. Of course, he didn't exactly choose to come out as a free agent when a number of teams need pitching and all of MLB will have a pay raise of sorts when it comes to television revenue, but it won’t hurt his cause.

MLB Contributor Gabe Zaldivar breaks down one of the more intriguing starting pitchers on the open market.

Here we talk about his contract demands, teams in the market for the 30-year-old pitcher and deliver some pro and con analysis along the way. When you think of the right-hander, you might consider him one of the more mysterious men to take the mound.

You never know what you are going to get from Santana year to year, but there is a great chance that it will be well worth your time to have him in the rotation. Now we come to the interactive part of the proceedings. Go ahead and offer the rumors you think hold water and where you see the best fit for one of the better pitchers in MLB.
