Yet another twist in the saga of the sale of the Montreal Canadiens.

This time it's Geoffrey E. Molson and his immediate family members who are seriously considering making an offer to buy the famous hockey club.

Molson-Coors already own 19.9 percent of the team and the Gillett Entertainment Group.

The Molson family owned the Montreal Canadiens since 1957 when brothers Thomas et Hartland Molson bought the team from Senator Donat Raymond.

In 2001 they sold 80.1 percent of the Habs to American businessman George Gillett.
