Texans RB Arian Foster is out for the season, per sources. Multiple opinions revealed he needs back surgery.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 10, 2013
Losing an RB1 is always extremely difficult to overcome—just ask Doug Martin owners—so if Rapoport's report is indeed verified by the Houston Texans, Sunday's fantasy football action certainly got its start on a sour note.
Last week's fantasy action was pretty bonkers, so it will be fun to see if Sunday has as many twists and turns.
Can Nick Foles build upon his seven-touchdown performance last week with another strong showing? Will Zac Stacy continue his ascension up the fantasy football rankings? Will wide receivers like Andre Johnson, Riley Cooper and T.Y. Hilton have encore performances after each scoring 30 or more points in standard-scoring leagues?
Plenty of fantasy owners were already singing a happy tune after Thursday night's showdown between Washington and the Minnesota Vikings. Robert Griffin III owners are sitting pretty after the quarterback accumulated 27 fantasy points in standard-scoring leagues, while owners of Adrian Peterson (19 points), Pierre Garcon (17), Alfred Morris (13) and Jordan Reed (12) surely will have no complaints.
We won't pretend as though anyone forecast John Carlson's seven receptions for 98 yards, a touchdown and 15 fantasy points, as his showing came out of left field. But hey, that's fantasy, right?
If any surprises like Carlson's performance happen this weekend, you'll be able to read about it here, as we'll take a look at some of the biggest developing fantasy storylines from Sunday's action. You never know who will be a fantasy hero on Sunday, but you can get instant analysis on those players right here.
