Roland Garros is the home of the beautiful people. A quick scan around the seats of the show courts at the French Open confirms that people here make an effort.

The women are elegant and groomed, the men cool and understated. There’s plenty of linen, silk and sunglasses. Even the arena itself exudes a certain je ne sais quoi.

The limited green pallet of the surroundings complements the perfectly manicured clay rectangle, which is trimmed by a single row of scarlet pelargoniums. Everything is just so.

And Roger Federer fits in like a native.
