Last year, the Arizona Cardinals shocked NFL fans across the country. This year the birds are seeking revenge. Now that the Cards have proven themselves worthy of a trip to the Super Bowl, competitors should indeed beware.

As the 2009 training camp approaches, with players reporting July 23, there are several things to watch for.

First off, with Anquan Boldin's contract up in the air, it is unclear if the offense will pack the same punch as it did last year.

Also, I'm hopeful that the absence of Todd Haley will not be a huge blow to the Cards' offense.

One thing is for sure: Larry Fitzgerald. The former University of Pittsburgh star will most certainly continue to elude opponents in the upcoming season.

In my opinion, if the Cardinals want to reprise their role as NFC champions, they need to bump up their defense and focus on getting the ball to Fitzgerald, Tim Hightower, and Steve Breaston.

While Breaston is sometimes overshadowed, he continues to improve and I expect he will be a key receiver this coming season.

Overall the Cards obtained some pretty decent draft picks, including LaRod Stephens-Howling, who I expect will provide some very good return skills.

The Cardinals will most definitely be giving us a great season!
