These are the top five offensive players who will be a key factor in the Chargers success in 2009.

There are many players who will affect the way the Chargers will play this season. Everybody will be expected to perform to the best of their ability and will be a huge asset on the offense this year.

I will be looking at who will be a difference maker, who will be the main producers, and who will make the biggest plays in the clutch.

Those players are: Ladainian Tomlinson, Vincent Jackson, Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, and Kris Dielman.

These are the players who I think will be the difference maker in the 2009 season.

Ladainian Tomlinson

Ladainian Tomlinson is going to be a key factor this year for the Chargers upcoming season. He looks to avoid all injuries which became a major issue in 2007 and 2008.

If Tomlinson stays healthy, I think the Chargers have a fighting chance at making it to the Super Bowl.

Vincent Jackson

With Vincent Jackson coming off a 1000 yard season, I believe defenders are going to keep a closer eye on him this upcoming year.

He may well be one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL.

At 6'5" and 240 lbs., he is a nightmare for short defenders.

Philip Rivers

Coming off career high statistics in 2008, Rivers has Chargers fans anticipating the upcoming season.

There are high expectations for Rivers, but I'm convinced he is one of the best at his position in the NFL.

Rivers has been underrated by fans. He was the best QB in the league in virtually every stat and was not voted into the Pro Bowl.

Though River is a very good QB, I don't think he will put up as good of statistics as he did last year.

Antonio Gates

By far one of the best TE's in the league.

Antonio Gates is known for being a good receiving tight end. People have been questioning his blocking skills lately.

I have noticed in several games where Head Coach Norv Turner has put Gates in at HB, and Gates has shown consistent blocking abilities.

To me, Antonio Gates is the best all around TE in the NFL today.

Kris Dielman

He has been a Pro Bowl contender and a huge asset to the Chargers O-Line.

Noticing his blocking abilities at OG, he makes a huge impact on the run game and the passing game.

He has proven that he is one of the best O-Linemen in the AFC. The Chargers have shown weaknesses on the right side where Jeremy Clary plays and Mike Goff had played.

Having drafted OG's in the draft, I think the Chargers O-Line will show great improvement.
