The New York Knicks (2-3) have defeated the Charlotte Bobcats (3-3) by a final of 101-91. The Bobcats started the game strong, but New York promptly took control in the second quarter.

Carmelo Anthony had his best game of the young season, scoring 28 points on 12-of-22 shooting while adding eight rebounds and six assists.

But the story and player of this game was undoubtedly Andrea Bargnani. Everyone was worried about the loss of Tyson Chandler for New York and Bargnani filled in brilliantly.

He wasn't as effecient offensively as Melo, but he still poured in 25 points on 11-of-25 shooting. The big bonus was Bargnani's defense. He swatted five shots Friday night.

For the Bobcats, Kemba Walker struggled shooting (8-of-22), but still finished with 25 points. Ramon Sessions scored 15 without missing a shot. He was 4-of-4 from the field and 7-of-7 from the free-throw line.
