Updates from Tuesday, Nov. 12

Danny Welbeck, as expected, will play no part in England's friendlies against Chile and Germany.

The Manchester United man has been out of action since Oct. 19 with a knee issue, which has forced him to pull out of Roy Hodgson's squad—per the FA's official website:

Danny Welbeck and Michael Carrick have both withdrawn from the England squad due to injury.

The Manchester United duo featured in last month's World Cup qualifier against Poland, but are ruled out as Roy Hodgson's men gather for two games at Wembley Stadium.
