Fantasy owners needed a big game from Robert Griffin III just as much as the Washington Redskins, and both parties were quite happy with how he played, as he put up some big numbers against the Minnesota Vikings.
Despite the big game from RGIII, the Redskins still lost 34-27 after giving up 20 unanswered points to end the game. Griffin finished with 281 yards and three touchdowns through the air while adding another 44 yards on the ground. In ESPN's standard scoring leagues, that was good enough for 27 points.
Griffin hadn't had a big game since Week 7 against the Chicago Bears, when he threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns along with 84 rushing yards. In the previous two games, Griffin had just one touchdown, three interceptions and a fumble, scoring just 13 fantasy points.
It seems that RGIII's knee is just fine, as he continues to be more and more comfortable in the offense. Granted, he did go against a weaker Vikings defense on Thursday Night Football, but he still had a great game and showed everyone he's still the same quarterback that he was in 2012.
