On paper, Oklahoma’s schedule looks like a cakewalk with the exception of Texas and possibly A&M. The Sooners lost a big one against Boise State, thereby showing their vulnerability. Off-season troubles will come back to haunt them during this season. With McCoy back in Texas, there’s a sure loss. The Big 12 Conference is wide open and if Dan Hawkins gets his team out of first gear, Boulder will be a bad place for Bob Stoops’ Oklahoma Sooners. Simply put: Oklahoma needs to be firing on all cylinders and leave the off-season woes off the field.

The Sooners will look to get back to the Fiesta Bowl, where they lost to Boise State on the now famous “Statue of Liberty” play.  Much of OU’s team remains intact, but they will have to replace quarterback Paul Thompson and Big 12 defensive player of the year Rufus Alexander.

This team will have a similar strategy to Wisconsin - run and play lock-down D.  But games against Miami, Texas, and Texas Tech will be too much for the Sooners to handle.

Stout defense.  From what I hear, a solid running game behind a great Oline. However, I'm always skeptical about a brand new QB.

Some sanity has returned to Oklahoma after last year's off-the-field distractions, time for Stoops to return to the elite.

Second best defensive unit in the country (USC).

Never count out a Bob Stoops coached team.
