Florida's Most Anticipated Matchups

As much as we'd like to see it, Urban Meyer and Lane Kiffin aren't going to get down in a three point stance anytime soon. That's Pete Carroll territory. 

Here's an article that takes a look at actual player matchups based on Florida's 2009 schedule. As for who would have the edge if Meyer and Kiffin lined up? Who cares? Neither would stand a chance against Les Miles.

 

Toughest Road Win in the Pac-10

Of course, Florida gets a pass for their one loss at home last season. But how many times have we seen USC drop one on the road and get left out of the BCS title game?

So where might the Trojans have the toughest time in 2009?

Here's a hint: It starts with a "H", ends in "-shoe" and you won't find it on this list of west coast venues.

Most of us would agree that Florida State's move to Christian Ponder at quarterback last year was the right one. But what ever happened to Drew Weatherford? Last we heard, he was battling for the Bears' fourth-string gig.

Makes sense. They've been willing to take on underachieving quarterbacks from Florida.

Nick Saban consideres safety play his forte, so the pressure is on guys like Ali Sharrief and Mark Barron. Their task is akin to taking piano from Beethoven. Arts and crafts with Martha Stewart. Or singing lessons from Susan Boyle.
