Fitzgerald's overall performance this season has been mediocre at best thanks to yet another sub par quarterback incapable of getting him the ball both accurately and consistently. Carson Palmer's passer rating of 72.4 doesn't exactly give you much confidence in his abilities and while Fitzgerald is still the most-targeted receiver on the team, his numbers have suffered greatly.
Through eight games this season, Fitzgerald is averaging just 58.8 yards per game and while he does have five touchdowns on the year, his low yardage output leaves him with suspect value in standard leagues and just middle-of-the-road value in PPR play. His match-up this week doesn't sound particularly enticing as the Texans rank 14th against No. 1 wide receivers, but give up just 44.7 yards per game to the position.
