Chelsea host German side Schalke in the Champions League on Wednesday, hoping to move closer to a spot in the last 16.

Jose Mourinho's team sit atop Group E as things stand, having beaten Steaua Bucharest 4-0 and Schalke 3-0 away from home, but having fallen 2-1 to Basel at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho will looking from an improved home performance from the one he saw early in his second coming against Swiss side Basel. A victory wouldn't secure their spot in the knockout rounds, but it would keep the Blues in control of their own destiny.

As per BBC Sport, Samuel Eto'o is expected to start up front for Chelsea in the absence of the injured Fernando Torres
