College Football Recruiting 2014: Top 25 Stars, Week 9 Edition

    The 2013 high school football season has reached a critical stretch throughout the nation. Games take on a growing significance as teams aim to punch their ticket to the postseason.

    Throughout the season, we've kept tabs on the top senior prospects in America. From standout quarterbacks to dominant defenders, these playmakers have kept their team on point with the playoffs looming large.

    Here's our look at the latest premier performances.

25. 5-Star WR Malachi Dupre (New Orleans, La.)

    John Curtis Christian receiver Malachi Dupre has dealt with double-team defensive efforts throughout the season. The 6'3", 185-pound playmaker continues to overcome.

    He caught a nine-yard touchdown pass in a 41-7 win over De La Salle, according to NOLA.com. Dupre holds offers from Alabama, LSU and UCLA, among others.

24. 4-Star QB Sean White (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

    University School quarterback Sean White was on point again this past weekend. He helped fuel a 49-7 win over Island Coast.

    White threw a 20-yard touchdown and rushed for a 20-yard score, according to the Fort Myers News-Press. He is committed to Auburn.

23. 4-Star S Jaleel Wadood (Lakewood, Calif.)

    St. John Bosco picked up an impressive 24-2 win over southern California rival Mater Dei. Jaleel Wadood helped lead the way.

    He caught a five-yard touchdown and added 71 rushing yards on just four carries, according to the Los Angeles Times. Wadood is committed to California.

22. 3-Star RB Henry Bussey (Hialeah, Fla.)

    Henry Bussey led Hialeah High School to a 35-21 win over North Miami Beach. He bullied the opponent with two touchdown runs, per the Miami Herald. 

    His effort featured early scoring sprints of 50 and 32 yards, en route to 166 total yards. He is committed to FIU.

21. 4-Star S Mattrell McGraw (New Orleans, La.)

    John Curtis Christian defensive back Mattrell McGraw has developed a reputation as a player with a nose for the ball. He sniffed out an opportunity yet again in a 41-7 win over De La Salle.

    McGraw corralled a loose ball following a fumble and returned it for a touchdown, per NOLA.com. He is considering offers from Oregon, Alabama, Arizona State, UCLA and Florida State.

20. 4-Star QB Deshaun Watson (Gainesville, Ga.)

    Gainesville quarterback Deshaun Watson made quick work of Loganville on Friday night. The dual-threat athlete dismantled his opponents during the first half of a 63-0 win.

    Before exiting the game early, Watson orchestrated seven scoring drives, including one he capped off with a 56-yard touchdown run, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

19. 3-Star QB Alin Edouard (Hialeah, Fla.)

    Hialeah quarterback Alin Edouard compiled 133 total yards and two scores in a 35-21 victory over North Miami Beach, per the Miami Herald. As usual, he did damage with his arm and legs.

    Edouard completed a 34-yard touchdown pass and rushed for another score. He is committed to Syracuse.

18. 5-Star QB Kyle Allen (Scottsdale, Ariz.)

    Desert Mountain quarterback Kyle Allen put his precision on display in a 31-17 victory over Mesa. He completed four touchdown passes on just 10 attempts, according to MaxPreps.

    Allen compiled 177 yards through the air. He is committed to Texas A&M.

17. 2-Star RB Richardre Bagley (Powder Springs, Ga.)

    Hillgrove High School running back Richarde Bagley brought a tremendous amount of effort into Friday night's game against South Cobb.  He made the most of nine carries in a 54-19 win, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

    Bagley rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. He is weighing offers from Air Force, South Alabama and Kennesaw State.

     

16. 3-Star RB Greg Howell (Miami, Fla.)

    Coral Gables running back Greg Howell led his team as it rallied from an early deficit against Miami Beach. He gained 164 yards in the second half of a 27-14 win, per the Miami Herald.

    He finished with 24 carries for 202 yards, helping Coral Gables recover from a 14-3 disadvantage. Howell is considering offers from Buffalo, Minnesota and Florida Atlantic.

15. 3-Star QB Mason Rudolph (Rock Hill, S.C.)

    Northwestern quarterback Mason Rudolph has amassed impressive statistics this season. He continued to pile them up with a sterling performance against York.

    Rudolph threw for 419 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-15 win, per MaxPreps. He is committed to Oklahoma State.

14. 3-Star RB Treyvon Hughes (Waxahachie, Texas)

    Hebron High School running back Treyvon Hughes starred throughout a 37-24 victory over Lewisville. The 6'0", 210-pound playmaker pounded the defense, racking up 222 yards on 28 carries, according to The Dallas Morning News

    Hughes scored a pair of touchdowns in the win. He is considering offers from Nevada and Iowa.

13. 4-Star WR Josh Malone (Gattalin, Tenn.)

    Station Camp High School star Josh Malone maintained his torrid production with another strong effort. The 6'3", 190-pound wide receiver scored thee times in a 21-14 win over Hendersonville, per 247Sports.

    He rushed for a pair of touchdowns, adding seven receptions for 100 yards and another score. Malone is considering offers from Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida State. 

12. Unranked QB Kent Myers (Sachse, Texas)

    Sachse quarterback Kent Myers is capable of taking over with his passing abilities. He put that element of his game on display in a 41-26 win over South Garland.

    Myers, a 6'0", 185-pound playmaker, accounted for 370 yards and four touchdowns through the air, according to The Dallas Morning News. He holds offers from Air Force and Navy.

11. 3-Star ATH Trayone Gray (Opa Locka, Fla.)

    Carol City running back Trayone Gray gave Norland all it could handle Friday night. His rushing performance pushed the team to a 27-14 win, clinching a postseason spot in the process.

    Gray gained 170 yards on the ground and scored twice, according to the Miami Herald. He committed to Miami in June.

10. 5-Star RB Leonard Fournette (New Orleans, La.)

    St. Augustine star Leonard Fournette carved up another defense on Friday. He rushed for 222 yards in a 33-14 win over Archbishop Shaw, according to NOLA.com.

    Fournette found the end zone on a 33-yard screen pass. He is weighing offers from USC, Alabama, Michigan, Miami and LSU.

9. 4-Star QB Jalen Greene (Gardena, Calif.)

    Junipero Serra star Jalen Greene gave his team an edge in a 35-21 win over St. Francis. He tallied five total touchdowns, bringing Serra back from a 21-7 deficit, according to the Los Angeles Times.

    Green rushed for a pair of scores and threw two touchdowns. He is committed to Boise State.

8. 3-Star ATH Tyler Henderson (Suwanee, Ga.)

    Collins Hill High School quarterback Tyler Henderson headlined a 49-14 win over Deluth. He used his rushing abilities to lead the way on Friday night.

    Henderson rushed for 200 yards on 23 carries, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The 5'9", 180-pound athlete, who also threw four touchdown passes, is considering offers from Air Force, Buffalo and Old Dominion.

7. 3-Star QB Foster Sawyer (Fort Worth, Texas)

    All Saints Episcopal quarterback Foster Sawyer found his targets with efficiency on Saturday. He shredded St. John's defense in a 49-27 victory.

    Sawyer completed 13 passes for 267 yards and six scores, according to The Dallas Morning News. He committed to TCU in April.

6. 3-Star RB Jordan Ellis (Suwanee, Ga.)

    Running back Jordan Ellis jump-started his squad with a dominant effort on the ground. He carried Peachtree Ridge to a 47-0 victory over Meadow Creek.

    Ellis rushed for five touchdowns in the contest, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He committed to Virginia in June.

5. 5-Star QB Will Grier (Davidson, N.C.)

    Davidson Day standout Will Grier enjoyed another strong game. The 6'3", 180-pound passer torched Victory Christian Center with five total touchdowns in a 40-6 win, according to MaxPreps.

    Grier completed 27 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns, adding two rushing scores. He is committed to Florida.

4. 4-Star WR Trey Quinn (Lake Charles, La.)

    Wide receiver Trey Quinn used another dominant performance to etch his place in Louisiana football history. The 6'1", 200-pound Barbe High School star became the state's all-time leader in receiving yards Friday night in a 42-21 win over Sulphur.

    Quinn caught 14 passes for 152 yards, according to NOLA.com. The LSU commit now has 5,881 career yards.

3. 2-Star ATH Desmon White (DeSoto, Texas)

    DeSoto High School quarterback Desmon White may not play behind center at the next level, but he continues to serve as catalyst for one of Texas' top teams. He completed 24 passes for 404 yards in a 47-0 win over Grand Prairie, per The Dallas Morning News.

    White connected on five touchdown passes in the victory. He committed to TCU in October and is expected to suit up at receiver.

     

2. 5-Star RB Royce Freeman (Imperial, Calif.)

    Imperial High School star Royce Freeman found plenty of room to maneuver during a 45-28 win over Central. The running back gained 311 yards on 38 carries, according to MaxPreps.

    He rushed for four scores and caught a touchdown pass. Freeman is committed to Oregon.

1. 4-Star RB Elijah Hood (Charlotte, N.C.)

    Charlotte Catholic running back Elijah Hood was absolutely dominant in a 49-24 win over Ardrey Kell. He gained 351 yards on 19 carries, according to the Charlotte Observer.

    Hood scored six touchdowns in the contest. He is committed to North Carolina
