T.Y. Hilton Stepping Up in Reggie Wayne's Absence
The Indianapolis Colts are clearly missing Reggie Wayne, but T.Y. Hilton has stepped up in the team's first game without their star wide receiver.
With around 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Hilton exploded on a 58-yard touchdown from Andrew Luck. Bucky Brooks from NFL.com tweeted his reaction.
Boom! Just like that T.Y. Hilton puts his stamp on the game. Right now, his speed and explosiveness is too much for the #Texans secondary.— Bucky Brooks (@BuckyBrooks) November 4, 2013
At that point in the game, Hilton had six catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns, with the other score coming at the end of the third quarter. It was his second game of the season with multiple touchdowns.
Before this game, Hilton had 27 receptions for 412 yards and two touchdowns. For as talented and explosive as he's been in his short career, he wasn't always on the field before the injury to Wayne due to the fact that the Colts were running two-receiver sets with Reggie and Darrius Heyward-Bey.
Hilton is officially stepping up with Wayne gone, and that's big for his fantasy value. Expect him to keep putting up big performances, especially with a rather easy remaining schedule.
