Jason Witten's Week 9 Performance Proves He's Still Amongst Elite at TE
Coming into Sunday, Jason Witten had just nine receptions for 90 yards and no touchdowns... in his past three games. You could forgive fantasy owners for worrying about the normally consistent Dallas Cowboys' tight end.
But against the Minnesota Vikings, Witten alleviated those fears, as a 26-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter ensured he would be far more productive than we've seen in the past few weeks.
Coming into Sunday, Witten had reached double-digit fantasy points just twice this season. By the third quarter, he already had his third double-digit game. Just when you thought Witten may be sliding to the bottom of the TE1 barrel—or right out of it—he produces.
This is the consistent and trustworthy Witten that fantasy owners have come to know and love, and the one that Tony Romo has leaned on so often in his career.
Who knows, maybe all he needed was last week's sideline spat with Dez Bryant to get him pumped up...
