Darren Sproles Injury: Pierre Thomas a Must-Add for Fantasy Owners
New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles suffered an injury early in the team's game against the New York Jets. If this turns out to be a serious issue, it immediately increases Pierre Thomas' value as a fantasy player.
Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune first reported the news of a possible head injury:

However, John Clayton of ESPN later clarified that he was out for the game with an ankle injury:

As long as Sproles is out, Thomas becomes the go-to option in the offense and possibly a high-quality player in fantasy football.
The veteran running back had been getting the majority of touches for the Saints even when the team was at full strength. In the last three weeks, Thomas was averaging 14.7 carries and 4.3 catches per game.
However, Sproles still took away plenty of touches, especially in the passing attack. In seven games this year, the versatile player amassed 36 receptions for 366 yards.
With Sproles now out for the rest of the day and rookie Khiry Robinson inactive, Thomas will get plenty of opportunity to shine in a high-powered offense.
While he is currently owned in only 57.4 percent of ESPN leagues coming into the week, he should be added in all of them going forward.
