After two consecutive weeks without scoring a touchdown, the Philadelphia Eagles found their offense in the Black Hole. Nick Foles tied the NFL record with seven touchdowns on Sunday, as the Birds trounced the Oakland Raiders 49-20 at the O.co Coliseum.
With Michael Vick nursing a hamstring injury, Foles received his first start since sustaining a concussion during an abysmal performance against the Dallas Cowboys. He rebounded by posting a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating, completing 23-of-30 passes for 406 yards with no turnovers. What controversy?
The Raiders simply didn't have any answers, allowing Philadelphia's offense to compile 537 yards of total offense. It was too much for Terrelle Pryor and the NFL's 32nd-ranked passing offense to overcome, as he threw for 288 yards and ran for 94, but only led the Silver and Black to one touchdown.
Last-place Oakland drops to 3-5 on the season, while the Birds stay within stirking distance in the NFC East by improving to 4-5. For more Foles Fever as well as other highlights and analysis from the game, be sure to scroll through our live account of the action.
