Bob Nightengale of USA Today witnessed it as well:
It was a crazy night in Boston, and the Red Sox were able to celebrate in their own crazy way. This team had fun all year, and it resulted in a championship. While most players probably went out on the town to celebrate, Dempster took the opportunity to stay at Fenway Park as long as he could.
The 36-year-old finally won his first ring, and he celebrated by throwing batting practice to his friends and family late into the night.
Hat tip to Deadspin for the find.
