LSU Preseason Comments
The Tigers lost their young gun in JaMarcus Russell, but Matt Flynn will step up with a lot of help from Early Doucet. New OC Gary Crowton will have to find a connection if he wants to see the Tigers in the BCS Championship. If home is where the heart is, their home schedule (Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida) has to be perfect this season.

Even with the departure of 1st round draft picks JaMarcus Russell and LaRon Landry, LSU looks to be even better in 2007. With an efficient offense and a swarming defense led by All-American tackle Glenn Dorsey, LSU should be the class of the SEC. LSU may not end up undefeated, but expect them to be in the running for a national title.

As talented as LSU, but the SEC regular season gauntlet, plus the championship game, will lead to at least one loss. QB Matt Flynn is lucky: His toughest tests are at home, and he can rely on one of the nation's best receivers in Early Doucet. Like USC, the defense and running game will carry the load until the passing game catches up.
Frank Swanagan
Always skeptical of a new QB, even though Flynn does have some experience. Jimbo Fisher's loss will be felt.

Talent abound, is Flynn ready for the spotlight?

They will reload like they always do.
