Tonight Brandon Knight (sore right hamstring), Zaza Pachulia (sore right foot) and Gary Neal (sore left foot) are out. #MILvORL— Milwaukee Bucks (@Bucks) November 13, 2013
UPDATE: Friday, Nov. 1
According to Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk, Brandon Knight is likely out on Friday night:
Brandon Knight played just 1:45 of the Bucks season opener against the Knicks Wednesday night before he tweaked his hamstring and had to leave the game, not to return.
Now he is likely out Friday night as the Bucks are in Boston — officially he is doubtful so there is a chance, but a slim one. Hamstrings are tricky and it could be a few more games before he is back on the court.
And the team later added this update and confirmed it was his right hamstring:
Brandon Knight has strained right hamstring and will not return this evening. #MILvNYK— Milwaukee Bucks (@Bucks) October 31, 2013
Knight, who is still just 21 years old, averaged 13.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 0.9 steals in 31.5 minutes per contest last season.
The fact that it was his right hamstring is interesting, as he has been dealing with a left hamstring injury all preseason.
Either way, Bucks fans will be hoping to get their third-year guard back as soon as possible.
As the tweets mentioned, rookie Nate Wolters, an intriguing prospect with size and a good all-around game, came in for Knight with Luke Ridnour already sidelined with a sore back.
Former Spur Gary Neal will see some time with O.J. Mayo in the backcourt, while this could also open up some time for 18-year-old rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is raw, but at 6'9" has a tantalizing point-forward skill set.
