Pead was a healthy inactive last week against the Seahawks but could be called upon in Week 9 if Zac Stacy (ankle) is unable to play Sunday. He's obviously fallen out of favor with coach Jeff Fisher, but desperate times call for desperate measures and with Benny Cunningham also hobbled by an ankle issue, the Rams could be forced to use Pead as a complementary back for Daryl Richardson.
Though he wasn't exactly afforded the best of opportunities, Pead was unable to do much with the touches he did receive, rushing for 21 yards on seven carries and catching nine passes for 61 yards. His deactivation from Week 4 on was a coach's decision and while they claimed it was to get Tavon Austin more work out of the backfield, Austin saw no such work. Pead does have some potential, but until he's out of Fisher's doghouse, his value is extremely limited.
