Golden Tate: Week 9 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor October 30, 2013

Tate is coming off his biggest game of the season having caught five passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams on Monday night. Eighty of those yards came on one play in the third quarter though, so it's not like he was racking up the catches and yards the entire time.
Tate is traditionally more of a possession receiver than he is a deep threat, however, with Sidney Rice done for the year and Percy Harvin returning from major hip surgery, he could be called upon to run more deep routes than usual. The Buccaneers have allowed an average of 244 yards per game through the air but rank just 24th in the league against opposing No. 2 receivers, so if Harvin plays a fair amount, he should draw plenty of coverage, leaving Tate in a lot of one-on-one situations.
