Green-Ellis will again handle the bulk of the carries this week in Miami after two straight mediocre performances. He had 11 carries for 33 yards in a Week 8 win over the Jets.
Per usual, Green-Ellis did not play an active role in the passing game and he now has just two catches for the season. The Cincinnati offense is pass-first to begin with, but last week clearly demonstrated coach Marvin Lewis's refusal to turn the ball over to an ineffective running game. If it can be considered a silver lining, the main competition in Cincinnati's backfield, Giovani Bernard, carried just five times for 18 yards.
