Rain showers in the area that have been on and off since 6:00 PM ET have forced NASCAR officials to postpone the Coca-Cola 600 until Monday at Noon ET.

Even though the rain had stopped at Lowe's Motor Speedway, it would have taken NASCAR at least two hours to dry the track, meaning a start time no earlier then 10:30 PM ET.

None of the 400 laps scheduled for the event have been run.

A 60 percent chance of rain is forecast for Monday in Charlotte.

The race will still be broadcast live on FOX and PRN Radio.
