Arsenal vs. Chelsea: Capital One Cup Live Score, Highlights, Recap
Live Capital One Cup Fourth Round Coverage
Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea (FT)
Scorers: Cesar Azpilicueta, 24' (0-1), Juan Mata, 65' (0-2)
Arsenal: Fabianski; Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Monreal; Ramsey (Park), Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Miyaichi (Ozil); Bendtner (Giroud).
Chelsea: Schwarzer; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Luiz, Bertrand; Mikel, Essien; De Bruyne (Ramires), Mata (Kalas), Willian; Eto'o (Ba).
All too easy for Chelsea in the end, who ensure Arsenal fail to make the last eight of the League Cup for the first time in more than a decade. Azpilicueta and Mata score the goals, while the Gunners never really looked like troubling the away side at the other end.
That's it for the live commentary tonight but we'll have plenty of reaction coming for you over the coming hours, plus more live action tomorrow night so stay tuned for that!
Thanks as always for joining me and see you next time!
Arsenal 0 Chelsea 2
90+4'—The Emirates is all but empty already as Giroud falls over in the box, Chelsea clear, and the ref blows his whistle!
90+3'—Luiz attempts the shot direct from the free kick...but it's over the bar.
90+2'—Hmmm. Ba runs through on goal onto a back-header and Vermaelen drags him to the ground—but the referee is only showing a yellow card here. Probably right decision.
Chelsea sub: Juan Mata off, to rapturous applause, Tomas Kalas on
90+1'—Decent hit by Ramires, but his shot dips just too late and lands on top of Fabianski's net.
Four minutes added on
89'—Last minute. It's easy to blame a tepid Arsenal attack on starting Nicklas Bendtner, but it's not as if he missed a herd of chances. Where has their creativity been? No tempo, no real incision, no penetration from the flanks. Cazorla gets into the box now, but sends a shot wide with his left foot.
Arsenal have been turned over here. Pure and simple.— Nic English (@hififidelity) October 29, 2013
85'—At this late stage in the game, Chelsea look the more likely team to add to the scoreline. They have the ball in Arsenal's half with a free kick, but only two are pushed up into the box. Mata puts it in the area...but Arseanal can clear. Do they have a goal in them to make the last five interesting?
82'—Arsenal put three crosses into the penalty box but the away side are defending them very easily at the moment. Time running out for any kind of a late comeback.
Arsenal sub: Ju-Young Park on for Aaron Ramsey
Chelsea sub: Demba Ba on for Samuel Eto'o
Three Chelsea players down with cramp. Well, I suppose it is the 118th minute of a vital tie played in 35-degree heat and 98% humidity...— Jonathan Wilson (@jonawils) October 29, 2013
So is Eto'o and so is Luiz! Chelsea players dropping all over the show.
79'—Ozil weaves his way toward the right corner of the penalty box, but his threaded pass toward Giroud is straight through to Schwarzer. Azpilicueta is down with a bit of cramp.
76'—Arsenal still pressing forward, looking for a route to goal, but for all the impressive build-up play there hasn't been too much pressure on Schwarzer's goal. Wilshere is the latest to try his luck from range, but it's a yard or two over the bar.
74'—Essien is booked for taking down Koscielny on the run. Another chance for Ramsey to put the ball in the area...but the Gunners only have three players in the opposition penalty box.
70'—The home team don't have long to sort things out here if they are to avoid a fourth-round exit against their London rivals.
Arsenal sub: Nicklas Bendtner leaves to jeers and boos, replaced by Olivier Giroud.
Chelsea sub: Kevin de Bruyne off, Ramires on.
Mata runs onto a loose, bouncing ball, takes one touch and simply lashes it into the far top corner with his right foot. Terrific strike, 2-0 to Chelsea.

Juan Mata, 65 mins
64'—Ozil weaves his way through two challenges as soon as he comes onto the pitch, but then loses the ball and concedes a free kick in trying to win it back. The expectation around the stadium as soon as the ball goes near him is incredible.
