England win IRB London Sevens

After a thrilling final that went to sudden death extra time, England beat New Zealand to win the IRB London Sevens at Twickenham.

New Zealand had led by 19 points at half time, but an impressive comeback by the men in white - including a superb try by Uche Oduoza - forced extra time in which Micky Young crossed the whitewash to spark jubilant scenes.

The win capped a brilliant weekend of rugby in the capital, and keeps alive England’s slim chance of catching South Africa in the world series with just one event remaining: Edinburgh next weekend.
