Robert Griffin: Week 9 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor October 29, 2013

Griffin suffered a setback in his attempted return to past glory Sunday against the Denver Broncos, just when it looked like he was rounding into shape. He tossed two interceptions and left the game after injuring his left knee. Griffin will look to get back on track when the Redskins host the San Diego Chargers, who are 26th in the NFL in points allowed this season.
The injury did not occur to the knee that Griffin had surgically repaired in the offseason, though it certainly won't help his mobility. Still, the Chargers are allowing 273 yards per game through the air, meaning Griffin can have a productive game from a fantasy perspective even without the aid of his legs. Expect a bounce back effort from RG3, though strictly as a pocket passer.
