Carlos Burle May Have Set the World Record for Surfing the Largest Tow-in Wave

Tristan ThornburghSocial Media StaffOctober 28, 2013

Last year, we saw Garrett McNamara surf what was believed to be the biggest wave ever surfed when a photo emerged of him conquering what many say is a 100-foot wave. Now surfer Carlos Burle may have topped him.

The Brazilian Burle was in the same spot in Nazare, Portugal, where McNamara surfed last year, but reports indicate that this wave was bigger than McNamara's.

Hat tip to The Inertia for the find.
