Smith completed 24-of-36 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. He also added six carries for 40 rushing yards.
Smith was his dependable, economical self on Sunday. He made the necessary safe throws to his backs and receivers on short patterns and watched Charles and McCluster do the rest. He did miss on a few intermediate routes and took a crucial sack late, but once again got the job done in unimpressive fashion to keep the Chiefs unbeaten.
