Colin Kaepernick: Recapping Kaepernick's Week 8 Fantasy Performance

RotoWireContributor October 28, 2013

Kaepernick completed 10-of-16 passes for 164 yards and one touchdown and carried the ball seven times for 54 yards and two touchdowns as the 49ers destroyed the Jaguars 42-10 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The travel time to London had no adverse effects him and he continued to play the type of game fantasy owners have been looking for from him all season long.
While Kaepernick has now thrown for fewer than 200 yards in six of his eight games this season, it hardly seems to be a concern so long as he continues to use the read-option more and increases his fantasy production via the run. After carrying the ball 31 times for 172 yards and no touchdowns over the first six games of the season, he's now rushed 18 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns over his last two games. With a bye in Week 9, he'll get ample rest and time to prepare for his Week 10 match-up with the Texans.
