Gore carried the ball 19 times for 71 yards and two touchdowns during the 49ers' 42-10 drubbing of the Jaguars on Sunday. He also caught one pass for six yards during the contest.
After a relatively quiet first three games of the season, an unhappy Gore spoke up to both coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman and requested a larger role in the overall game plan. The results have been extremely positive as he has now rushed for 476 yards with six touchdowns over his last five games and the 49ers are 5-0 in that span. The 30-year old back will get some well-deserved rest over the bye week and have plenty of time to prepare for his Week 10 match-up with the Houston Texans.
