Boldin caught four passes for 54 yards during the 49ers' 42-10 win over the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Though he led the team with six targets, he continues to struggle in the stats columns due to the excessive double-team coverage he sees.
Boldin hasn't topped 100 yards since Week 1 and is actually averaging just 3.6 catches and 49 yards per game with just one touchdown since that first week, a span of seven games. The Week 9 bye should be especially beneficial to Boldin as the team is expecting the return of Mario Manningham in Week 10 who should finally help draw coverage away and allow him to see more one-on-one match-ups.
