Carson Palmer: Recapping Palmer's Week 8 Fantasy Performance

RotoWireContributor October 28, 2013

Palmer completed 13-of-18 passes for 173 yards with two touchdowns and one interception during the Cardinals' 27-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. With a suddenly dominant ground game and a healthy lead supporting him, Palmer was able to work more as a game-manager than a needed savior which resulted in a relatively efficient performance for the veteran quarterback.
The pressure was really off Palmer in this one as the shortcomings of the Falcons defense made things very easy for the Cardinals offensive attack and a strong defensive performance on Arizona's part helped maintain that ease. The match-up was so beneficial that Palmer actually threw more touchdowns than he did interceptions for the first time since Week 1. He'll get some extra rest with a bye coming in Week 9 and will use that extra time to prepare for his Week 10 match-up with Houston.
