Bleacher Report

Oakland Raiders defensive coordinator Jason Tarver didn't like a call made by the refs, so he responded by flipping them the bird. Unfortunately for him, the cameras caught him doing it.

Update: Monday, Oct. 28 at 4:00 p.m. ET

Tarver has released a statement:

#Raiders DC Jason Tarver’s statement: “I apologize for my action on the sideline of yesterday’s game. It was in the heat of the moment…”

More Tarver: “I regret drawing attention away from the Raiders players and what they accomplished.” For this: http://t.co/5OvvYn2RqW

ESPN's Adam Schefter provides another update:

Raiders, not NFL, are expected to impose discipline on defensive coordinator Jason Tarver for his obscene gesture during Sunday's win.

-- End of Update --

The Raiders had a 21-3 lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers midway through the third quarter, but Tarver was still fired up about the flag.
