Brandon Gibson Injury: Updates on Dolphins WR's Knee, Likely Return Date
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Gibson had developed into a reliable red-zone target for quarterback Ryan Tannehill in recent weeks, but the Dolphins had to finish the team's Week 8 game against the New England Patriots without him.
According to Albert Breer of NFL.com, the knee injury Gibson suffered in the first half against New England is believed to be a torn patellar tendon:

While Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline receive most of the attention as far as Miami's receivers are concerned, Brandon Gibson has played an important role out of the slot.
He has topped 70 yards in a game three times this season, and he caught two touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills last week. Gibson caught a first-quarter touchdown against New England in Week 8 before departing, and his absence is extremely detrimental to Miami's receiver depth.
Gibson was a sure-handed safety valve for Tannehill, and the second-year quarterback will definitely miss him.
