Colin Kaepernick hasn't had the most consistent of seasons, but he's really started to turn it on in recent weeks. In Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kaepernick was explosive.

He had success through the air, totaling 164 yards and a touchdown on 10-of-16 passing. He made the biggest impact on the ground, though, rushing for 54 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.

Kaepernick had been a questionable start in previous weeks, but he's now back to the point where he should be active each week. If you had a capable quarterback starting in his stead, then it's time for you to consider trading Kaepernick.

He could fetch a nice-sized return if he continues his strong performance against Jacksonville. Fantasy owners could feasibly acquire a high-end No. 2 receiver or serviceable No. 2 running back in exchange for Kaepernick, or owners could also look to acquire a low-end No. 2 receiver and flex option or running back.

The trade packages for Kaepernick are nearly endless, and it's time to start throwing some feelers out there while the dual-threat quarterback's value is peaking. Trading away talent when it's at its high is the best way to further develop your fantasy squad.

It's time to deal Kaepernick to do just that.
