What a way to win a derby.
Thrown on as a second-half substitute, Fabio Borini earned himself a place in Sunderland folklore with a cracking strike from 25 yards to give the home side a 2-1 advantage against Newcastle with just six minutes remaining.
Newcastle pushed but could not find an even later equaliser, confirming Borini as the hero of the day:
It was the Italian's first goal for the club, leaving Tim Krul with no chance.
