Florida State Executes Fake Punt While Leading NC State 35-0

Florida State was demolishing the North Carolina State Wolfpack, 35-0, with less than four minutes left in the first half when they were facing a 4th-and-7.

Rather than punt the ball away and play defense, the Seminoles faked a punt for the first down. FSU running back Devonta Freeman then scored a touchdown a few plays later to extend the lead to 42-0.

Remember, NC State handed FSU its only loss in 2012. Maybe that loss was still fresh in Jimbo Fisher's mind as he called for the fake punt today.
