Joey Barton is rarely out of the headlines and therefore is something of an easy target for away fans.

The Queens Park Rangers midfielder was playing in the top-of-the-table Football League Championship clash at Burnley when he was struck on the head by a coke bottle thrown from the crowd.

Whether you are a fan of Barton or not, the looks of delight on the faces of many of the fans at Turf Moor are pretty unsavoury.
