In the aftermath of its Bound for Glory pay-per-view, the Thursday, October 24 edition of TNA Impact! Wrestling, which aired live from Salt Lake City, Utah, began with a video package and company president Dixie Carter coming out to the ring.

Carter, who drew strong heat from the crowd in Salt Lake City and chants for Hulk Hogan's comeback, welcomed back World Heavyweight champion AJ Styles to TNA after his Bound for Glory win against Bully Ray.

The TNA president credited herself with motivating Styles to win the World title once more. Carter showered Styles with gifts and a brand new car. However, after trying to impress the World Heavyweight champion, Styles did not accept any of her gifts. Carter continued to attempt to lure Styles on her side, even offering the champion the night off against Ray for the World title.

After a commercial break, Ray came out to the ring and disagreed with Carter's attempt to cancel Styles' rematch against the former champion. Styles accepted Ray's challenge for the belt. Ray labeled Styles' victory at Bound for Glory "lucky."

Quickly afterwards, Ray knocked out Styles inside the ring. However, as Ray was about to slam Styles through a table, Mr. Anderson made his TNA return by storming to the ring for the save. With the momentum of the crowd, which was red hot throughout the opening segment, Mr. Anderson forced Ray outside the ring before another commercial break.

Mr. Anderson spoke about Ray and asked the crowd if they were all tired of the Aces & Eights act. Carter returned to the entrance way and demanded security to arrest Mr. Anderson. After a quick brawl in the ring, Mr. Anderson gave himself up and was escorted to the backstage area.

Match No. 1: Gail Kim and Brooke Tessmacher vs. Velvet Sky and ODB

Your winners via pinfall: Gail Kim and Brooke Tessmacher.

Basic opening match. It was good to see Sky get back into the ring, as her storyline with X-Division champion Chris Saben has really gone nowhere. After a long opening promo, TNA kept this match on the shorter end.

Match Rating: 3/5

Match No. 2: Ethan Carter III vs. Dewey Barnes

Your winner via pinfall: Ethan Carter III.

TNA pulled the same card as it did at Bound for Glory by having Carter III compete against a weak-looking wrestler with a terrible theme song. So far, Carter III has done nothing impressive early in his run despite the potential he could bring to TNA.

Match Rating: 0.5/5

Kurt Angle came out to the ring and said he declined the TNA Hall of Fame because there is more to be accomplished. However, before Angle could speak about his Bound for Glory match, Bobby Roode interrupted and walked toward the ring.

After Angle demanded a match against Roode, the "It Factor" pulled out a piece of paper and told Angle he was not cleared to wrestle. Despite the doctor's note, Angle went ahead and threw a few punches at Roode before security came storming to the ring to break up the fight.

Robbie E and Jesse Godderz went out next to the ring for their TNA Tag Team titles celebration. Unfortunately for The Bromans, their celebration was short-lived, as James Storm and Gunner interrupted and entered the ring. As Storm was about to announce a rematch for the TNA Tag Team Championship, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian came out.

Kazarian and Daniels demanded their spot in the rematch. After a brawl erupted in the ring, Eric Young and Joseph Park joined the fight. Daniels took a champagne bottle and smashed it over Park's head, causing him to bleed. As Park saw the blood, he transformed his character similar to Abyss and delivered a huge chokeslam on Godderz before chasing Daniels and Kazarian to the backstage area.

Match No. 3: Bully Ray vs. AJ Styles for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

Your winner via pinfall to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: AJ Styles.

Another solid main event between Styles and Ray, as the crowd's involvement and interest helped make this match even more enjoyable to watch. With another loss for Ray and no help from the very slimmed-down Aces & Eights group, TNA needs to let this faction quickly fade away from its television program. Instead, a feud between Ray and Mr. Anderson appears to be in the works.

Match Rating: 4/5.

After the match, Carter attempted to get Styles on her side once more by offering him a TNA contract. However, Styles crumbled up the contract, threw it to the ground and announced to Carter that he will take the World Heavyweight belt and leave TNA as Impact! Wrestling faded to black.
