Chris Copeland Is Innocent Bystander on Defense, Gets Punished

Tristan ThornburghSocial Media StaffOctober 24, 2013

Toronto Raptors power forward Tyler Hansbrough gave an on-court apology to New York Knicks small forward Metta World Peace following a recent run-in during a preseason game.

This may have brought back memories of another incident between Hansbrough and a New York Knick.

Last season, Hansbrough, then with the Indiana Pacers, laid a shot on then-New York Knicks forward Chris Copeland. Cope's face undergoes a complete transformation all while trying to not earn a foul call. Thanks a lot, Tyson Chandler.

One redditor shared this similar GIF of a boxer taking a big shot that is spot-on.

Hat tip to /r/NBA for the GIFs.
