There is no harder place to play professional sports than in New York.

Not only are you unfairly criticized for your play on the court, you are also hounded for your style choices off it. That, of course, is the reason we see sudden changes to the fashion choices of players that are brought to the Empire State.

Over the summer, the Brooklyn Nets brought in Paul Pierce as part of the biggest trade of the offseason.

Pierce was never the most stylish man in Boston, but since his arrival, we have seen him step his game up so much that he is now featured in a spread in DuJour magazine.

DuJour held an event at The Palm to formally welcome the Brooklyn Nets star and his wife Julie to New York City.

While there, we got the chance to talk to the All-Star about how his style has evolved over the years and specifically over the last few months since joining the Nets.

Watch now to hear Paul talk about the differences between Boston and New York fashion and which person influences his style the most.

What do you think about Paul Pierce's evolution? Let us know in the comments below.
